Science Expo was a Huge Success!

Our first-ever Science Expo last week was an incredible success—and it couldn’t have happened without the generous support of our parents, teachers, staff, and community members! Throughout the all-day science extravaganza, we had a record number of volunteers pitching in, making the expo a fun and memorable event for all our students!
The all-day expo featured hands-on activities including strawberry DNA extraction, microscope exploration, gardening, 4-legged race, and lessons like bubbles and elephant toothpaste. Ask your kids about the handwashing show, their marble art creations, and skull identification experiences! STEM concepts also came to life through stations where students built air cannons, balloon-powered cars, and radios. A highlight was the Science from Scientists STEM enrichment program, which brought real-life scientists to Franklin. The Science from Scientists team shared their expertise on a range of topics from the rock cycle to plant biology.
Big shoutouts to the PTA Science Expo Committee, our volunteer leads, and ALL the volunteers! The PTA team is deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time and talents. This event reminded us of the incredible things we can achieve when our community comes together!
