WALK-A-THON IS ALMOST HERE — LET’S GET TO $80K, FALCONS! 🎉
Franklin’s annual Walk-A-Thon is Friday, October 16, from 1:00–2:30 PM! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we need our whole community to help us reach our $80,000 goal (we are at ~$52,000 as of Oct 8).
Funds raised support classroom supplies, field trips, enrichment programs and assemblies, Makerspace, teacher & staff appreciation, and community events throughout the school year.

What Happens at the Walk-A-Thon?
Each grade will have its own time on the course to run or walk as many laps as possible! Students will have 10 minutes on the course (TK will have 5 minutes), then enjoy an Otter Pop and cheer on their fellow Falcons!
FAMILY SPECTATORS: Please stay in the designated spectator areas. Only registered volunteers & staff may enter the Student Zone. Want in on the action? Volunteer with us!
🏆 Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!
- Top 10 Fundraising Students → Drawing for a Topgolf 2-Bay Event Certificate ($800 value!)
- Top 10 Families with the Most Fundraising Emails/Messages Sent → Drawing for a gift card
- #1 Fundraising Class → PTA-sponsored lunch party!
- Top 3 Classes for Participation → Extra recess!
- 🎉 We’ll also announce the winners of our T-shirt Sponsor prize drawings at the Walk-A-Thon!

Our Walk-a-Thon is right around the corner, and we can’t pull it off without our amazing parent volunteer crew! Come out to the field, cheer on your kids, and enjoy an energetic afternoon in the sun! ☀️
We need to borrow 10 canopies to keep our runner cool and we all need parent volunteers for:
✨ 10 Lap Sticker Crew — Hand out lap stickers & cheer at the finish line!
🏃♂️ 6 Buddy Runners — Run along with the students to guide them!
🛠 Setup & Cleanup Crew — Help set up the track or clean up after.
🍧 6 Otter Pop Team — Deliver icy treats to classrooms after the big run!
⏰ When: October 16, 2026 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
