We are excited to partner with Samaritan House for our Protein Foods WeeCare Drive to support local families in need. We invite our community to help by donating protein-rich, shelf-stable foods that can make a meaningful difference for families experiencing food insecurity.

DATES: 5/26–6/9

LOCATION: GREEN ZONE

Requested donation items include:
• Peanut butter or almond butter
• Canned meat & tuna
• Chili
• Other canned meals
• Soy milk or almond milk

Donation bins will be located in the Green Zone. Every donation, big or small, helps provide nourishment and support to families in our community.

Saddle up for our annual Franklin Family Festival on Saturday, June 6 from 11am–2pm!

Join us this year for a fun-filled Rodeo-themed afternoon with food, games and family fun. Dust off your cowboy boots, dress in your western best and bring the whole family!

We are excited to share that next week we will be honoring our amazing Franklin Teachers and Staff during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, April 27–May 1! This year’s theme, “Teachers plant seeds that grow forever,” reminds us of the lasting impact our Franklin staff have on our children every day. Schedule for the Week:

The Burlingame Parks Forever Foundation is hosting its 3rd Annual Family Park-to-Park Bicycle Ride on Sunday, May 17 at 10am. This is a wonderful community event coordinated with the Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department.

Families will meet at Washington Park and enjoy a guided ride led by the Burlingame Police Department, stopping at parks throughout the community. At each stop, participants receive a stamp on their park passport, which can be exchanged for raffle tickets and a chance to win prizes.

Have 15 minutes to spare? Help us in the Library!

The Franklin Library is back! Now that the library construction is done, we need a "Shelf Squad" to help keep things organized while the children enjoy storytime.

You can sign up and volunteer during a specific class's library time, or come help as pop-in volunteers! If you’re 15 minutes early for pickup, come say hi and help us reshelve a few library books.
