Thank You — What an Incredible Walk-A-Thon!

What an amazing Walk-A-Thon! Thank you to our entire Franklin community for coming together to make this year’s event such a success. It was wonderful to see our students running and walking, families cheering, and our community showing so much Falcon spirit.

We are incredibly grateful to our Walk-A-Thon planning committee — Abby, Dannis, Mira, Nikki, Roy, and Winnie — for the many hours of planning and work that went into making the day happen. A huge thank you as well to our Dad’s Club, all of our parent volunteers, our teachers and staff, and Mrs. Lawrence for your time, energy, flexibility, and support.

A special thank you to our friends at Roosevelt for generously lending us the tents and canopies that helped make our event possible. We are so appreciative of the support from our neighboring school community!

Our students ran and walked a total of 2,155 laps! Also, congratulations to the winner of our lap-guessing contest, who was super close with a guess of 2,180 laps! Thank you to all the kids who participated!

Most importantly, thank you to every family, donor, business sponsor, and community partner who contributed to our fundraiser. Because of your incredible generosity, we are projected to meet our $80,000 fundraising goal, dependent upon corporate matching gifts!

If your employer offers corporate matching, please remember to submit your match. It’s an easy way to make your donation go even further and help us officially cross the finish line.

These funds make so much possible for our students throughout the year, including classroom supplies, field trips, enrichment programs and assemblies, Makerspace, teacher and staff support, and community events.

We couldn’t have done this without all of you. Thank you for showing up, giving generously, volunteering, cheering, and making this year’s Walk-A-Thon such a special celebration of our Franklin community.

We did it, Falcons!
